today i was planning on posting some pics and a recipe for my new favorite oat bars when i realized i was making and subsequently posting way too much beige food! farinata, french toast, yellow lentils, its all beige! part of the reason is that its winter, so lots of bright colorful foods are out of season so i dont focus too much on consuming them, the other issue is that my kitchen lighting is so ghastly i tend to ignore my dinner meals and focus on stuff i can document in the morning. so, i just wanted to share a bit of color instead, the beige oat bars will come later!
Thanks to Brendan Braziers Thrive book, a health guide to being a vegan athlete, Hendrik is super into eating tons of large leafy green salads. he takes a big bright one to work everyday but today he forgot his in the fridge, so we turned it into dinner. Not pictured is a raw vegan caesar dressing which is an adaptation from this recipe. if youve never made your own creamy healthy caesar dressing youre missing out.
